The plain version of what we agree to
Written to be read. If anything here isn't clear, ring us and ask — we would rather explain it than have you agree to something you didn't follow.

Who we are
Hoppr is a Canadian owned and operated business in Alberta. These terms cover both this website and the answering service we run for you.
- 02
What we provide
We answer calls on your behalf using an automated agent configured around your business, and we pass on what the caller told us. The agent gives no advice of any kind — medical, legal, financial or technical — and is instructed to say plainly that it is a virtual assistant if anyone asks.
- 03
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for what happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access and we will lock it.
- 04
What you tell us to say
You give us your hours, services, prices, service area and emergency wording, and you confirm you are entitled to have us say those things to callers. If your prices or hours change, tell us and we will update the agent the same day.
- 05
Emergencies
The agent follows the emergency wording you supply and transfers to the number you nominate. It is not an emergency service. Where a caller reports something life-threatening they are told to call 911. Keeping your emergency wording and on-call number correct is your responsibility.
- 06
Calls and recording
Calls answered by the agent are recorded and transcribed so you can review them. Any notice your own callers must be given in your province is your responsibility. We can turn recording off for your account on request.
- 07
Payment
Plans are billed monthly in Canadian dollars in advance. Setup is included at no charge. There is no minimum term, and you can cancel any month with no penalty.
- 08
Going over your plan
If you consistently exceed the calls included in your plan we will contact you about moving up. We will not silently bill you for overage you did not agree to.
- 09
Ending it
Cancel at any time and we stop answering at the end of the period you have paid for. You get your call history and transcripts on the way out.
- 10
Our liability
We work hard to answer every call, but no phone system is perfect, and carriers and third-party providers do fail. Our liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before it arose.
- 11
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that materially affects you, we will email you before the change takes effect.
- 12
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada that apply there.
